When not in the office, (racket) sports is a passion of mine. As a result, I’ve written a few papers related to this, including my very first scientific publication: Time Extraction from Real-time Generated Football Reports. When presenting a paper for the World Conference on Net and Wall Games, I encountered the field of sports science and in particular got interested in performance analysis through the pioneer Prof. Mike Hughes. Great fun! When joining SICS, I found that my new employer also ran projects related to how to maximize performance by using modern technology. Not for cheating, but for analysis and feedback!
