The PIMM project was a two year long project that focused on establishing a state of the art mobile network in a mine, and test a number of applications that are enabled by mobile communication. The PIMM project has shown through usage, measurements and simulations that cellular based communication has very good properties enabling robustness and at the same time guarantee performance and low latency for demanding applications.
